Who is Counselling for ?

EVERYONE! At various stages of our life we need support. Often we turn to family, friends and colleagues. Sometimes this usual source of support can be inappropriate, too close or even part of the problem. Counsellors are trained professionals who can offer support from an objective, contained and focused view point. It is respectful, private and professional.

More and more people are turning to counselling. Stress, depression and anxiety is on the increase. It is commonly reported that a third of doctor's time is taken up with patients who are suffering from some kind of mental heatlh problem.

You may seek counselling because you are at a loss or stressed and could benefit from some support.
  • You could be struggling in a relationship and may feel stuck or insecure.
  • There may be trouble or conflict at work.
  • You may have lost your confidence or motivation.
  • You could be experiencing health problems or that of a loved one.
  • Or maybe you just want someone impartial who can listen and be objective to your situation.

Regardless of your issues counselling can work by listening, understanding, educating and exploring alternative coping strategies which will help you to achieve a more satisfying and productive life.
